Choosing the Right Vaporizer in 2026
Vaporizers have come a long way since the early 2000s. Modern devices give you cleaner draws, better flavor, and much longer battery life than the pens most people started with. Before you buy, the three questions worth answering are: what material will you use, how portable does it need to be, and how much control do you want over the session.
Dry herb, concentrates, or both?
Dry-herb vaporizers heat ground material to a temperature that releases active compounds without combustion. Concentrate vaporizers (e-rigs) heat wax or oil in a quartz or ceramic chamber — hotter, faster, and often more portable. Dual-use devices swap chambers between the two, which is convenient but usually a compromise on both.
Portable vs. desktop

Conduction vs. convection heating
